It has recreational as well as educational value. We can enjoy the cultural programmes of other countries, sports, games, dances, conversation, song, films, quiz etc shown on T.V. It enables us to know the current news and world affairs too. Thus it is a media of informal education also. Thus the benefits of television are numerous. Ofcourse with these advantages, the T.V has certain disadvantages. If a person spends too much time in watching television every day, he will become lazy and shirk to work. Students also loss much of their study time for watching T.V programmes. It effects their educational career. If we see the pictures from a close distance it is harmful to our eye sight.
